The Beverly Hills North Homeowners Assn. largely covers the area north of Wilshire, Santa Monica Bl. and Sunset Bl. It was founded when a member of the City Council suggested that a monorail should occupy the rights of way along Santa Monica Bl. Having won that battle, years ago, the association has taken on a larger role in community affairs.
