Century City is a commercial and residential areas just west of Beverly Hills, and southeast of Westwood. Built on what used to be the backlot of Twentieth Century Fox which still has its home to the south, it combines shopping, offices and upscale living. Century City competes with Downtown L.A. for the largest concentration of law firms in the city. (One of the office buildings stood in for Nakatomi Plaza in the first “Die Hard” movie.)
Century City is a mere 176 acres (.275 square miles) the residential portion of which is made up entirely of condominium developments, except for Century Woods, which has 34 private villas in the complex. The high rises are the new The Century, Century Towers, and 2160 and 2170 Century Park East, and the low rises, Century Hill, Century Woods, Le Parc and Park Place.
