With approximately 40,000 residents, Culver City is an incorporated city known for its movie studios. MGM has moved, and Sony Pictures now has a large presence there. The area is fast becoming a trendy destination for restaurants, movie theaters and art galleries, and the New York Times has called Culver City the “nascent Chelsea.”
Downtown Culver City
The Culver City phase of the Expo Line, a light rail from downtown to Santa Monica, is estimated to be completed in 2010, further raising the cache of living in this area.
Homes in Culver City are still affordable by Los Angeles standards
