ICE at Santa Monica is now open and includes a new art exhibit.
The rink at 5th St. and Arizona opened on November 10th and has teamed together with Portraits of Hope an organization originally developed to help seriously ill and disabled children. Portraits of Hope builds large art projects which mix public art with creative therapy for hospitalized children and provides educations for students of all ages.
The ICE rink which encompasses 80 0 sq. ft of real ice and a 400 sq. ft. child’s rink is decorated with a painted garden both under and around the ice as part of the Portraits of Hope project.
Also involved is Herbal Essences which will be unveiling some new products “inspired by beauty and paradise.”
ICE at Santa Monica will be open through February 15th. Skating lessons are offered as well as season passes and event space.
The admission is $10 including skate rental.
Hours: Noon to 8:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday
10:00 a.m. to midnight Saturday
10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Sunday
